For facilitators

Use AIGovSpec in a course

AIGovSpec can support a seminar, a workshop or a cohort course. These notes cover what you may reuse, how to cite it, and how to present a framework that is still under review.

Present it as a research preview

  • Independent expert review is pending. Say so when you introduce the site.
  • The worked analyses are hypothetical. Do not present them as real cases.
  • Field guides marked draft have not been reviewed by the framework's author or an outside reviewer.
  • Nothing here is legal advice. Check the current text and status of any law, bill or treaty before relying on it.

Teach it as contestable

The four objects and four tests are analytical lenses, not an exhaustive or settled taxonomy. Invite learners to find what the framework misses. The live debates show attributed positions on open questions; use them to practise disagreeing with evidence.

If you are the framework's author or a contributor, tell learners. A facilitator teaching their own framework should make that relationship visible and welcome criticism of it.

Ways to use it in a session

  • Apply the eleven questions to a decision learners face, such as whether their organisation should adopt a tool. Each question has a plain-language prompt.
  • Offline or low connectivity: use the printable worksheet.
  • Ask learners to trace one claim to its source passage and judge whether the summary is fair.
  • Remind learners that answering every question measures completeness, not quality. Filled fields are not good reasoning.
